• There are several local shops and markets that remain open until late and five super stores.
• You will find almost everything you need, including luxury brands, in these shops.
• The Sunday market in Göcek is a great place for fresh fruit and vegetables.

• There is also a wide range of clothes, sportswear shops and boutiques in the town, including handmade jewellery, carpets and crafts, typical of this region.

• E|G|G uses D-Marin as its base. The excellent facilities at D-Marin are at your service at all times while you are in Göcek, including showers, toilets, electricity, water and WiFi internet.
• There are 6 marinas in Göcek bay:
  • 3 marinas have fuel stations (Belediye Marina, Club Marina and Marin Turk).
  • 2 marinas have black water discharge service (Club Marina and Marin Turk).

• The following banks have branches in Göcek :
  • Garanti Bank, Yapı Kredi Bank, Akbank, İş Bank, Vakıf Bank
• There are several 24/7 ATMs in the town.
• There is no private exchange bureau in Göcek other than the banks.
• You can change to local currency on weekdays at the banks and post office.
• Most of the banks work half day on Saturday during high season.
• The Post Office hours are 09:00-17.00 on weekdays and 09:00-12:30 on Saturdays.
• All credit cards are accepted for shopping.

• Göcek is in the Mediterranean climate zone.
• During the winter months (December, January and February) the temperature is usually around 10°.
• Spring is often very short.
• In July and August the temperature can rise to over 40°.
• By the end of September the temperature starts to drop.
• Western winds start in mid May and are stronger in July and August, ending in October.
• Between May and October, the sea temperature is around 22°.

• Should you have any health problems during your holiday, Göcek has two health clinics, one state and one private.
• There are 2 doctors available at the State clinic between 09:00 and 17:00.
• An ambulance service is available for emergencies.
• State of the art hospitals are available in Fethiye (32km) and Ortaca (25km).
• There are 2 dental clinics in Göcek.
• There are also 3 pharmacies in Göcek and one of them is open 24/7.

• All of our boats are equiped with mobile phones to ensure effective communication between each other and the base.
• Fethiye Bay area is covered by all three GSM operators of Turkey - Turkcell, Vodafon and Avea. You can make phone calls and use dataservices with your own line almost everywhere in Göcek.
• Broadband WiFi internet is available in D-Marin and in most restaurants and cafes in the town.
• GSM data modems will be supplied on request for which there is an extra charge.

• There are numerous restaurants, bars and cafes which cater for all tastes and can be found along the picturesque harbour, in the town and in the marinas.

Göcek is a very safe town, and the official security services are provided by the Jandarma.

• Transit log applications are handled by the Harbour Master durng week days.
• There is no custom clearance in Göcek. Usually the custom clearance process is handled by authorised agencies at the entry point to Fethiye.
• Skippers planning to leave Turkish waters temporarily, must consult with the EGG team prior to their trip.
